Many think that child visitation and child custody revolve around the rights of the mother and that the fathers rights are a secondary concern. When the mother is withholding the child from the father the father may need to seek intervention by the courts to restore his visitation and even ask for make up time with the child. It is also possible to negotiate with the mother outside of court to reach a new visitation agreement. However, this new agreement will not be enforceable until a judge signs a new order.
